Customer data export for GDPR reasons

Main views

The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) recognizes the rights for individuals to request a copy of all the personal data and supplementary information that has been gathered and stored about them.
Here is how to do it in a few clicks.

When you receive a subject access request, simply open the relevant customer profile.
From the drop-down menu next to the "Edit" button, select "Export data...".

Drop down

A form will prompt you to write the reason for the export.

Reason

This will add an entry in the customer's profile timeline so you can use that form for record-keeping or to inform other Custobar users.
This entry will come in as a DATA_PRIVACY_REQUEST Event which can also be used in future segmentation.

Timeline Entry

The next step is a preview of all the data that will be exported.

Preview

Scrolling down, you can see the different touchpoints included, such as Sales and Events.

Preview touchpoints

Once you clicked export, the file retrieved is a Table-type where each data type is arranged in its own sheet and sorted by date. Each entry will have the different fields relevant to the touchpoint.
